D. Gale is a self-taught painter, muralist, and community organizer based in East Harlem. She has spent the last three years exploring with various mediums, focusing on acrylic and aerosol.
Common themes in her work include human interconnectedness, nature, and the exploitation of developing nations. She has painted murals and organized community-based public art projects in Mexico, Spain, Ecuador, Guatemala, Cuba, New York, and California.
Currently, she is working together with other artists in Spanish Harlem to establish a politically active, socially conscious art collective.
